Software Features

At CES 2025, Aptiv is demonstrating how our scalable and modular software solutions enable OEMs to maintain control and flexibility while delivering feature-rich user experiences. Aptiv offers a turnkey solution, but OEMs have the freedom to choose individual products like real-time vision processing, premium audio, and interior sensing.

At CES 2025, Aptiv is demonstrating how leveraging real-time data analytics through a digital feedback loop — powered by Wind River — provides deep insights into system behavior and consumer preferences. Live Interior Sensing Features

OEMs are seeking cost-efficient, flexible interior-sensing solutions that meet regulatory requirements and improve vehicle safety. At CES 2025, Aptiv is demonstrating modular, up-integrated sensor technologies and flexible configurations that deliver safety-critical features, such as vision-based PODS, airbag suppression, seat-belt misuse detection and integrated driver and cabin monitoring systems. Through extensive experience in interior sensing, Aptiv addresses corner cases to ensure reliable performance in diverse scenarios.

Cybersecurity

As vehicles become more connected, OEMs are increasingly concerned with safeguarding consumer data from cyberattacks. At CES 2025, Aptiv is demonstrating advanced cybersecurity capabilities that enable secure software updates and lifecycle management. Aptiv's multi-layered security suite features secure boot with quantum-resistant encryption, ensuring tamper-free software. Additionally, data in transit is protected with state-of-the-art cryptography, offering OEMs confidence in their systems. With solutions like intrusion detection and malware protection for Android apps, Aptiv embeds security from the early development stage.

‘Ice Cube’ Sensor

OEMs relying on ultrasonic sensors and bird’s-eye-view cameras for low-speed maneuvering are facing challenges with system performance, cost and complexity. At CES 2025, Aptiv is demonstrating an integrated sensing solution designed to address ultra-short-range detection needs in parking and urban driving scenarios. The “ice cube” sensor combines a camera and radar in a compact package, reducing complexity and optimizing system cost while delivering 360° perception with accurate height measurements for curbs. Its reliable performance in adverse weather and lighting conditions unlocks advanced capabilities for slow-speed maneuvering in dense urban settings, including automated parking.
