Recognized by Automotive News with a PACE Award, Aptiv’s industry-first solid state electrical centers replace traditional melting fuses with smart fusing and electromechanical relays with solid state switches, reducing package size, mass and power dissipation while supporting increased content, reliability and diagnostic capabilities.
For more than a century, Aptiv has been a leader in the automotive electrical system world, using our experience and expertise to build the next generation of automotive connectors and system components. We work closely with OEM customers to optimize our automotive electrical center solutions for specific applications and to build a foundation for tomorrow’s architectures. From hardwired to PCB-based to solid state electrical centers, Aptiv offers solutions to meet your needs. Learn more
Aptiv HNS product offers over & under voltage protection, with recovery threshold, current rating up to 200 amps, 3 system modes: Initialization / Wake-up / Sleep, self-operation while power is on & capability to support CAN / LIN communication. In addition, it supports your functional safety requirements (ASIL rating).
Aptiv’s power distribution units (PDUs) and battery disconnect units (BDUs) provide power distribution and circuit protection both outside and inside the battery packs of electrified vehicles and are customizable to each OEM’s unique architecture needs.
Our PDUs are rated for DC voltages up to 1000V and currents exceeding 400A, while providing fusing protection in temperatures from -40℃ to 85℃. Our BDUs ensure vehicle safety at all times with pre-charge and high current detection modules, current and voltage sensing, isolated resistance sensing, relay status, fault detections, advanced thermal management and optional liquid cooling.
Aptiv electrical centers can be packaged in a range of vehicle locations, from under the hood to inside the passenger compartment. With flexibility in terminal types, connection systems and supporting technologies, Aptiv has a solution to meet every need.
